North West Diabetes Meeting: 3 Feb 2012

Dear Colleague,

I have great pleasure in inviting you to the Winter NW Diabetes Meeting. The details are mentioned below. This meeting is being hosted by the Blackpool Diabetes Team. We also have a guest speaker, Professor Brian Frier, Edinburgh Royal Infirmary, who will be speaking on the new DVLA guidance on driving in patients with diabetes. He has sat on the Advisory Panel for the DVLA and gave an informative talk at the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) Meeting in Dubai in December.

3.30 – 4.15 pm Driving and diabetes: how changes in EU regulations are affecting driving licences: Professor Brian Frier, Edinburgh

4.45 – 5.00 pm Tea

5.00 – 5.30 pm The use of Insulin Pumps in Pregnancy: Dr Abu Ahmed, Blackpool

5.30 – 6.00 pm Diabetic Neuropathy & Management of Painful Neuropathy: Dr Rajbandhari, Chorley

6.00 – 6.30 pm Hypomagnesaemia & PPI: Dr J McKay, Blackpool

6.30 pm Dinner
