Description: A busy DGH. The Endocrinology team has care of 14 inpatient beds, with the registrar expected to contribute regularly to ward round cover, supporting x1 FY1 and x1 CMT. Clinics are held across several sites, including Leigh Infirmary, the Thomas Linacre Centre (Wigan town centre) and at the Diabetes & Endocrinology Care Centre (RAEI). There is a regular GIM on-call commitment, with 4+3 long dayshifts (Mon-Thurs; Fri-Sun) and 4+3 nightshifts spread over a 12-13 week period.
